Wilder Ranch State Park, Santa Cruz Coast

 

Full-Day Workshop (6-8 hours): 1 hour instruction, 4-5 hours shooting, 1 hour social lunch (catered, off-topic)

NOTE: I stay for at least the full duration, and often beyond. Feel free to hang after to debrief the experience, review photos, or to simply enjoy the setting together with a cup of coffee or cacao.


Recommended Experience: Beginner to Advanced (all levels)


Terrain Difficulty: Easy (mostly flat trails and boardwalks with minimal incline)


Photo/Video Gear: DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual mode, tripod, ND & polarizing filters, wide-angle and telephoto lenses, extra batteries & memory cards, and remote shutter release (optional)

(Loaner tripods, filters, and other gear available upon request, limited availability)


Personal Gear: You’ll want comfortable trail shoes or hiking boots, weather-appropriate layers, hat and/or sunscreen, water and snacks, notebook/ phone/ tablet for notetaking & app suggestions, and a small backpack.


Weather: We’re out there rain or shine, as shifting weather conditions often creates inspiring and dynamic lighting. In the rare case of unsafe weather, we’ll reschedule or relocate to a safe location.


Group Size: Small group (4-8 participants) to ensure personal attention and creative collaboration.
